Jakarta, 01-02 August 2023 – The first International Battery Summit in Indonesia was successfully held at Puri Ratna Hall, Grand Shahid Jakarta. The summit brought together 262 participants from 172 institutions and companies across 12 countries, including Indonesia, Singapore, UK, USA, Australia, Thailand, South Korea, China, Japan, Canada, India, and Malaysia.

Gotion Indonesia sponsored the summit to drive the energy transition in Indonesia and APAC markets. By sponsoring, Gotion Indonesia showcased its commitment to battery technology advancement and its role in making Indonesia a major player in the global battery market. As a renewable energy solutions, Gotion Indonesia recognized the need to connect stakeholders in the battery

industry, from upstream to downstream. Through its participation, Gotion Indonesia formed partnerships, catalyzed investments, and contributed to policy recommendations, supporting Indonesia’s progress in the global battery industry.

The summit concluded with the signing of an MoU involving National Battery Research Institute (NBRI), ABC Battery, PT. Infiniti Energi Indonesia (INFIEN), PT. Indo Energi Elektrik (Birubatt), and PT. Gotion Indonesia Materials (Gotion). Indonesia Battery Corporation and PT. Ceria Nugraha Indotama witnessed this agreement. This effort aims to establish Indonesia Battery Association, strengthening the country’s battery industry and supporting clean energy transition and Net Zero Emission goals. The slogan “Baterai Indonesia Mendunia” emphasizes Indonesia’s global role. The summit is expected to continue annually, solidifying Indonesia’s position in the worldwide battery industry.
