Gotion Indonesia Celebrates National Batik Day: Honoring Tradition Through Diversity

On October 2, 2025, Gotion High-Tech Indonesia proudly celebrated National Batik Day, a day dedicated to one of Indonesia’s most iconic and globally recognized cultural heritages. Employees came to the office wearing their finest batik, transforming the workplace into a vibrant display of Indonesia’s artistic legacy.
To add excitement, Gotion High-Tech Indonesia held a Best Batik Outfit recognition activity. Congratulations to Patrice and Adji, who stood out with their creative and elegant batik styles. Each received a Gendome Powerbank as a token of appreciation for their enthusiasm and participation.

Batik: A Heritage Woven with Meaning
Batik is more than a patterned fabric — it is a timeless art form that reflects Indonesia’s cultural identity. Derived from the Javanese words amba (to write) and titik (dot), batik refers to the intricate wax-resist dyeing technique used to create distinctive motifs.
Each pattern holds symbolic meaning, often inspired by nature, philosophy, and social values. Once worn for special ceremonies, batik represents harmony, respect, and tradition.
In 2009, UNESCO recognized Indonesian batik as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity, solidifying its status as a proud symbol of national heritage. Since then, October 2 has been celebrated as National Batik Day — a reminder to cherish and preserve this cultural treasure.
