Gotion High-Tech Indonesia Celebrates National Batik Day 2026

On 2 October 2026, Gotion High-Tech Indonesia proudly celebrated National Batik Day across its Head Office in Jakarta, Bogor office, Cikarang office, and manufacturing plant. Employees were encouraged to wear their favorite batik attire, creating a vibrant atmosphere that reflected Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage and the spirit of togetherness across our workplaces.
Batik is an important part of Indonesia’s cultural identity, reflecting generations of tradition, craftsmanship, and regional diversity through its distinctive motifs, colors, and wax-resist dyeing techniques. Once primarily associated with ceremonial clothing, batik has evolved into a widely recognized expression of Indonesian culture worn in both formal and everyday settings. In 2009, Indonesian batik was inscribed by UNESCO on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, and 2 October has since been celebrated annually as National Batik Day to honor, preserve, and promote this unique cultural heritage.

At Gotion High-Tech Indonesia, this year’s celebration was designed not only to honor batik, but also to strengthen employee engagement and appreciation for Indonesia’s diverse traditions. Colleagues across our Jakarta, Bogor, and Cikarang locations participated enthusiastically by wearing batik in a wide variety of colors, patterns, and styles.
The activity brought a sense of warmth and excitement to the workplace while encouraging employees to express their appreciation for Indonesian culture in their own way. Beyond the competition, the celebration served as a reminder that cultural heritage can continue to thrive when it is appreciated, shared, and carried forward by younger generations.
As a global company operating in Indonesia, Gotion High-Tech Indonesia values the importance of embracing local culture while bringing together employees from different backgrounds. Celebrations such as National Batik Day help strengthen our sense of connection with the communities where we operate and reinforce an inclusive workplace culture built on mutual respect and appreciation.
Through this celebration, Gotion High-Tech Indonesia proudly joined millions of Indonesians in honoring one of the country’s most iconic cultural treasures.
Batik is not simply a fabric—it is a living heritage that connects Indonesia’s past, present, and future.
