Gotion High-Tech Indonesia Shares Strategic Insights at National Battery Industry Forum Hosted by Indonesia’s Ministry of Industry
Bandung, Wednesday, January 21, 2026 — Gotion High-Tech Indonesia participated as a key speaker at the Forum for Coordination and Synchronization of Strategic Recommendations for Strengthening the National Battery Industry Ecosystem, organized by the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenperin RI).
The forum served as a strategic platform to align perspectives among government, industry, and other stakeholders in accelerating the development of Indonesia’s national battery industry. During the forum, Gotion High-Tech Indonesia presented its insights on the technical challenges of large-scale battery cell production in Indonesia, drawing from its global experience in lithium-ion battery manufacturing. The company highlighted that scaling up battery cell production requires not only advanced manufacturing technology but also strong process control, consistent quality standards, and a reliable supply chain.

Gotion High-Tech Indonesia further emphasized the importance of developing a comprehensive supporting component ecosystem, including local suppliers of key battery components, production equipment, testing facilities, and skilled human resources. Without a well-integrated ecosystem, large-scale battery manufacturing will face limitations in efficiency, cost competitiveness, and compliance with global standards. In addition, Gotion High-Tech Indonesia underscored the need for close collaboration between the government, industry players, research institutions, and supporting industries. Such collaboration is critical to enable Indonesia’s battery industry to move beyond its role as a raw material supplier and become an active participant in the global battery value chain.
Through its participation in this forum organized by Kemenperin RI, Gotion High-Tech Indonesia reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Indonesia’s industrial downstreaming agenda and the long-term development of a competitive and sustainable national battery ecosystem. By sharing technical expertise and global best practices, the company aims to contribute to strategic policy recommendations that strengthen Indonesia’s position in the global battery industry.
